Obama's climate change hocus-pocus

President Barack Obama wants to look like he's doing something about climate change, even if Congress isn't.

So it's at least encouraging news that Obama on Monday ordered federal agencies to cut their carbon footprint in the future.

Obama ordered federal agencies to take the next 90 days to set 2020 targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions. And he told them to increase energy efficiency.

The move will garner some media attention and positive vibes for Obama, especially from environmental groups.

However, Obama needs to spend most of his time on this matter trying to convince Democrats to support a strong bill to reduce harmful emissions and encourage investments in renewable energy.

Unfortunately, Congress so far has showed little appetite for acting quickly on this matter.
